Mapping the Theories and Models on the Mode of Action of Homeopathy: A Scoping Review This scoping review offers an overview of theories and models on the mode of action of homeopathy. These could be classified into 14 largely nonoverlapping frameworks. Unexpectedly, the placebo did not emerge as such a framework. In the next step, these theories would be assessed in terms of their quality, plausibility, compatibility with modern science, and experimental falsifiability. Delusional Disorders and Homeopathy: A Narrative Review Conclusion - Although strong scientific evidence for the use of homeopathy in primary psychotic disorders is limited and more research is needed, individualized homeopathic treatment may help in supportive care by addressing associated symptoms and improving quality of life. Careful psychiatric assessment and an integrated approach to management remain essential. Whispers From the Materia Medica: Rare Homoeopathic Treasures for Dermatological Woes This article will enlighten a detailed picture of some rarely used homoeopathic medicines with their key symptoms that will help all readers and practitioners across the country to prescribe those remedies for various dermatological conditions in their day-to-day practice. A personalized, integrative approach in treating major depressive disorder: N-of-1 study with plasma proteome and physicochemical analysis of homeopathic preparations Conclusions: This personalized integrative homeopathic protocol demonstrated superior effectiveness to placebo in the studied individual. The physicochemical characteristics and proteomic findings indicate potential immunomodulatory effects mediated by nanomedicine mechanisms. However, further research involving larger cohorts is warranted to confirm these preliminary observations. Depressed patients treated by homeopaths: a randomised controlled trial using the “cohort multiple randomised controlled trial” (cmRCT) design Conclusion: This trial provides preliminary support for both the acceptability and the effectiveness of treatment by a homeopath for patients with self-reported depression. Our results provide support for further pragmatic research to provide more precise estimates of treatment effect. Homeopathy in the treatment of depression: a systematic review Conclusion : Limited evidence from two placebo-controlled double-blinded trials suggests HMPs might be comparable to antidepressants and superior to placebo in depression, and patients treated by homeopaths report improvement in depression. Overall, the evidence gives a potentially promising risk benefit ratio. There is a need for additional high quality studies. Evaluation of oral administration of Calendula officinalis among the centesimal potencies in acute wound healing in male wistar rats Conclusion: Among the Calendula centesimal potencies tested for wound contraction, 30C proved to be the most effective for wound healing. Association between Acute and Chronic Inflammatory States: A Case-Control Study Classical homeopathic clinical observations indicate an association between chronic inflammatory status in the body and the ability to mount efficient acute inflammation. In this case-control study, the occurrence of common infections with fever during treatment heralded improvement in chronic inflammatory disease. Further powered studies are necessary to substantiate this finding Brain Wave Oscillations as an Objective Neurophysiological Biomarker of Homeopathic Subjective Well-Being The concept of subjective well-being is supported by a body of literature and is a measurable entity. When viewed from the perspective of electrophysiological changes, brain activity is an objective neurophysiological biomarker with a potential to quantify individual well-being in the context of homeopathy research. Ultradiluted Homeopathic Medicines Cause Apoptosis in RPMI-8226 Multiple Myeloma Cells in vitro: a Pilot Study This is the first study to demonstrate that each of four homeopathic medicines causes apoptosis in a MM cell line. Further exploration of the potential of Arsenicum album, Hecla lava, Carcinosinum and Carboneum sulphuratum as a complementary therapeutic option in MM is warranted. Individualized homeopathic medicines in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome: A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial Individualized Homeopathic medicines were found to be significantly effective, compared to placebo in reducing PMS symptoms. Further independent replication is warranted to validate and corroborate these findings, as well as to identify the most effective Homeopathic medicines for treating PMS symptoms. Until then, clinicians may consider these findings when exploring personalized and holistic therapeutic strategies for managing PMS. A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial of individualized homeopathic medicinal products in the treatment of nocturnal enuresis in children Sulphur, Calcarea phosphorica, Calcarea carbonica, Kreosotum, and Mercurius solubilis were the most frequently prescribed medicines. IHMPs were found superior to placebos in reducing the frequency of bedwetting events in children. Six patterns of homeopathy use in integrative oncology: A qualitative study (TOUCAN) Cancer patients’ quality of life has improved with supportive care which encompasses diverse conventional therapies along with complementary and alternative medicine. Since little is known about the use of homeopathy, this article aims to describe its applications in women with non-metastatic breast cancer in France. The current state of the quality of homeopathic clinical research The validity of homeopathic research studies is reasonable but can be improved. Adherence to standard and homeopathic-specific reporting guidelines would help. Identify and target a few populations and conditions for replication studies. All homeopathy studies should proactively monitor and report on adverse events. Increase homeopathic research expertise through better training and collaborations. Apoptotic and autophagic death union by Thuja occidentalis homeopathic drug in cervical cancer cells with thujone as the bioactive principle "Robust “multi-targeting” anticancer potential of Thuja drug and thujone for HPV-infected cervical cancer ascertained its therapeutic efficacy for HPV infections" Homoeopathic vaccine therapy: Efficacy, nosodes and individualised approaches in disease prevention This paper delves into the homoeopathic paradigm of vaccine therapy, underscoring its efficacy in preventing acute and chronic diseases. While allopathic schools predominantly favours hypodermic methods, homoeopathy advocates the oral route, presenting a broad prophylactic scope. Various medicines, exemplified by Belladonna for scarlet fever and Baptisia for Typhoid, mimic the body's mechanisms, generating defensive substances against potential diseases. Specific remedies, such as Gelsemium and Rhus tox, administered during prodromal stages, demonstrate the capacity to abort disease processes.
